Days like these are perfect...

...for baking bread! There isn't a better way to warm up the house, after all it is August and not October, I refuse to actually turn on the heat. So we baked bread all day. Each of the girls got their own mini loaf pan to make their own loaf of bread. I made two regular size loaves and then we made a dozen and a half buns. YUMMY!

I forgot to take a picture of their beautiful loaves once we had baked them. They ate them for dinner and loved them.

it was just too much

We were out side picking raspberries (notice the smushed one on the stair?), it was close to supper time, Kymberly was tired...extremely tired because she was up really late last night. I was trying to stretch just one more hour out of her. When we finished picking the raspberries I had to pick her up kicking and screaming to bring her inside. She refused to move from the back door. Just sat there screaming "OUTSIDE" over and over while I made supper. I tried to move her, but she would just go back and sit down and continue screaming. I tried to distract her, but she wouldn't budge. So I ignored her....and then there was silence.

Whats with kids and not hanging up their jackets? I put up hooks that are at the perfect height for them to reach, but they don't ever bother. I remember doing the same thing as a child. I wish I had room for a shoe shelf at my back door, but there's not, so the shoes are constantly all over the floor...or in a heap at the bottom of the stairs because tossing them down the stairs is still one of Kymberly's favorite past times.

Welcome home!

We got home from a fabulous time camping with a good part of the Forsyth clan late last night. We had a great time in between the rain spells. But when the sun came out to play it was perfect weather for playing at the beach or riding on Uncle Nathan's boat.

When it rained we hung out at Grandma and Grandpa's well protected campsite and created quite the art gallery.

This morning when I went to check on my garden and raspberry patch, this is what I found...

Bonanza Day!

What a fun day so far. First of all Tansley got to ride in the parade with Uncle Paul(who is of no actual blood relation). She loved it. Kathryn was sure to collect lots of candy so she could share it with Tansley.

We spent a good part of the afternoon at the free swim at the pool, which was a fabulous way to escape from the heat.

Kathryn entered 3 of here photos in the Junior photo competition and won two firsts(which include a $25 prize for each) and a third.

Ever since she saw the lego creations at Bonanza day last year, she has be dying to do one of her own and enter it this year. This years Bonanza day theme was "It's 'Fan'tastic to be a sports fan in Milk River" or something like that. So Kathryn created a basketball court, complete with a few fans. This cute little creation earned her a blue second place ribbon and a Tinkerbell stationary set.

We are now waiting around to attend a play and then a little more waiting before the fireworks....that should be interesting.
